When drawing the portrait of my main man, Justin, the details were really challenging. In order to get the perfect values of Justin's face, i used some special blending techniques. These techniques were quite helpful in performing this challenging face. The most challenging feature on this face was the nose due to the amount values on it. Another challenging part of Justin was his ears. I have always been bad at drawing ears but this was quite possibly the hardest one i have ever done. The final product for this task turned out to look similar in some categories and completely WRONG in others.

This was my cartoon skeleton drawing. I took a cartoon character and drew its skeletal structure inside its body. It was pretty easy. This was the best one. Also, as you can see scooby doo is in one of the pictures. I drew scooby doo.
This was my modified contour drawing. I was allowed this time to look at what i was drawing on the paper and also what position my hand was in. So, it was easier to draw this one than the blind contour. This was my best one. This was my blind contour drawing. I wasnt allowed to look at my drawing while drawing it. I was only allowed to look at my hand and its position. Whenbi thought i was done i was allowed to look at it. It was pretty hard. This was my best one. This is my hand alligator. I put my hand in a position and i made it into an alligator. It was pretty hard. I had to draw the hand position first then i just filled it in and finished picture with colors to make it an alligator. This is my shoe drawing. I put one of my shoes on the desk in front of me and i drew what i saw on it. It was alright i thought. I learned how to use value in my drawings. I made a value chart which is shown in one of the pictures. You go from light to dark starting on the side in which the light source is coming from. I drew a cube, a sphere, and a cone. I used value. I think that it makes the picture look more realistic and it creates depth. My experience working with oil pastels was alright. I thought that they were pretty cool. I created value by using a lighter shade of a color and a darker color of the same color and blended tem together. Overlapping is important because it shows depth. I showed a clear light source. It was coming from the top left. I think value is important because it makes the picture look more 3d and real instead of flat. |
